My therapeutic style is warm, patient, and engaged. Many clients end our sessions saying they feel "lighter" or like "the pieces are clicking."
I believe that healing happens in relationships, so I work with my clients to collaboratively create a space that allows each of us to show up authentically. All parts of you are invited in, even the parts you aren't sure about yet.
Work toward cultivating self-compassion and empowerment, especially when life experiences have made them feel distant. Understand the influence of your past and honor all you have done in order to survive. Find space for joy and play.
Are adolescents and adults seeking a more empowered life. Many of my clients have learned the strategies of people-pleasing or perfectionism, but no longer find these tools as helpful as they once were.
I believe that everyone deserves safety, joy, and connection; therapy is a rare space where those values are centered.
My office shares a building with the slime institute, meaning you'll often smell bubblegum and glue as you arrive for in-person sessions.
Some of the values that motivate my work include trauma-responsive practice, antiracism and social justice advocacy, fat liberation, kink/polyam friendly, and justice for trans and queer communities.
