Clients tend to feel comfortable early in the process and find that even the uncomfortable conversations can be easier than originally anticipated.
I tend to be very solution focused and person centered, assisting clients in evaluating current stressors and helping them review efforts to make changes in their life. Additionally, helping clients learn how to manage expectations appropriately.
Sessions focus on identifying specific areas of a client's life which would benefit from learning more about setting and maintaining healthy boundaries with other people as well as with ourselves.
I have always been a natural helper and the person others would come to for a grounded conversation.
If necessary, at any point you feel the process is not beneficial for you, I have no issues with discussing a transfer to another clinician who may be a better fit.
