When you meet with me, you are the driver. I will work on the issues that you find most upsetting, while gently providing guidance for healing.
I am honest with my clients. I let them know that I am intuitive, but not a mind reader. Your truths need to be told as only you can tell them. My high ethical standards are guaranteed, including confidentiality.
I use a variety of techniques. I have years of experience working with children and adolescents in school settings as well as all ages in my private practice. We can talk, cry, journal, use art or play therapy to solve the problems presented.
I enjoy helping others meet their fullest potential. Often that involves understanding ways in which we self-sabotage. I especially enjoy working with children and adolescents as I was an educator before a therapist.
None of us have a picture perfect life. I find that my life experiences as a child led me to wanting to empower others to succeed.
My office is inviting. I do enjoy color and so it is not bland, but is relaxing. Oh, and I am an avid elephant fan!
I retired from school counseling in 2016 after opening this practice in 2012. I truly love helping others and I do not feel that it is work to do so. I have recently expanded my practice and have other outstanding therapists who have joined.
