caring, compassionate, conscientious, dedicated, detail-oriented, empathic, fair, flexible, insightful, motivational, real, thoughtful, understanding
I like to treat each person as an individual, picking techniques that seem like the best fit for each situation--pulling from CBT, Mindfulness, DBT, Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused, and other modalities to tailor and customize my treatment approach
You're the one in charge of your session! We can talk about challenges you're currently facing or past issues that are still making a lingering impact. We can try different tools and techniques and talk openly about what helps and what isn't a fit
have anxiety disorders or just anxiety about the future and uncertain situations; I also work with a lot of young adults and millennials going through life, family, and career changes. I have a background in addiction and substance use disorders too
it felt like the right calling once I started college psychology classes. I tell my interns that "social workers are born, not made"--it's part of me
I love what I do! People always tell me they can sense that about me. I feel a real connection with my clients and genuinely enjoy helping others
I started FTMW to have flexibility and freedom to provide care how I see fit. Many agencies are struggling, chasing funding, or bogged down with bureaucracy; I just wanted a no-BS way to offer people good therapy. I'm so glad I have a way to do that!
